What is believed to have been an earthquake caused by volcanic disturbance in the Blue Mountains occurred here yesterday. One bullding, a machine shop, collapsed. Loss about 3500.-S. F. Chronicle, August 19. 1909. May not have been an earthquake. There are no volcanoes in the Blue Mountains." Newspaper accounts have not been researched. |
