Felt from Olympia to Walla Walla. Additional accounts from Yakima should be sought. From the handwritten and microfilmed U. S. Weather Bureau Climatological Records for the State of Washington: Kennewick, Yakima County - "At 3:40 a. m. April 29 felt a shock of earthquake vibrations from west to east accompanied by a rumbling sound. Lasted some 10 to 15 seconds. Chairs were rocked and pictures swung from the walls. A slight tremor all the while, clock stopped." The Spokane Falls Morning Review also states that the earthquake was felt distinctly at Davenport and Walla-Walla. This earthquake was also felt in Olympia, according to the Washington Standard: "A slight shock of an earthquake was felt about four o'clock this morning."
