Individual Event Report
Event #470 - Summary, and parameter estimates with source IDs |
The MWR weather observer in LaGrande Oregon described this as being RF Intensity V in Summerville, Oregon. Townley and Allen describe the shock as "medium" and cite the S.F. Chronicle of 1/19/1915. The BSSA, (V. 5, p. 54) describes it as light: "January 18, 1915. - A light earthquake was felt at Summervillle, Oregon. The shock is said to have been felt over an area of forty square miles." Berg and Baker cite the Oregonian of January 19, 1915. Researching newspaper articles might be helpful, as none are yet included in the data base. |
