Individual Event Report
Event #260 - Summary, and parameter estimates with source IDs
The actual date of this event is not known. The source appears to be a Washington Standard article dated 7/7/1893 that says: "Wenatchee experienced a genuine earthquake a short time ago, the first that has occurred for some time. Several years ago slight shocks were very frequent in the Wenatchee country. There were two very heavy shocks in the winter of 1872, which were felt very distinctly in this valley. That was the time that a large slice of the mountain split off and fell into the Columbia river and dammed it up for awhile." The 7/7 date is listed in the Woodward-Clyde catalog, and in the WPPSS documents.
