Transcription: FROM RITZVILLE An Earthquake shock - A Little Child Injured Ritzville, Sept. 2, -- [Special.]--At 10:30 A.M. to-day an earthquake shock sufficiently strong to cause hardware and dishes to rattle on shelves was felt, lasting three seconds. Five-year-old Lissie Van Holt was caught in the shaft which runs from the mill to the pump (?) Her right thigh was broken and she was otherwise severely injured. The shaft revolves slowly or the accident would have proved fatal. |
