September 1884: Our city paper speaks of an earthquake about two weeks since at 10:30 p. m. I was asleep and knew nothing of its occurrence so can give no particulars.[Note: Report compiled on or about September 30 therefore "two weeks since" is circa Sept. 16 -- Gerald Elfendahl, curator, Bainbridge Island Hist.
