I just took a flight in my plane to get some recon on that avalanche on Rainier. These photos are from 9000, just over Paradise.
It's pretty obvious to me it's not an ice avalanche, it's a major rock avalanche starting off of the very tippy top of the the Nisqually Cleaver.
