Driving Directions to the PNSN Lab at the University of Washington

I-5 Northbound:
Take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn right onto NE 45th Street. Continue east about one quarter mile to 15th Avenue NE and turn right. Head south on 15th Avenue three blocks to NE 41st Street. Turn left at gate #1 into the Central Plaza Garage. Stop at the gatehouse inside the garage for directions and a parking permit ($11.00).

I-5 Southbound:
Take the NE 45th Street exit (#169). Turn left onto NE 45th Street.

The Seismology Lab is located in room ATG-146 between buildings Atmospheric Sciences (ATG) and Johnson Hall (JHN). Finding the lab can be a bit tricky because it is located underground. The easiest way to find the lab is to walk through the courtyard that is between JHN and ATG * and enter the building at the entrance with two glass doors. Next, head down the stairs and follow the signs to the lab.

* Disabled:
Before entering the building, take a right. Follow the walkway into the (ATG) building. Procede into the elevator as soon as you enter the building. We are located on the first floor. After exiting the elevator, procede to your right and you will see the loading dock to your left. From there you should be able to follow the Seismology lab signs to our location.

-For Deliveries and Media:
From 15th Ave. turn east on 40th St. (Gate 5) and go right at the three way stop (Steven's Way). Drive for about a quarter mile and turn left on Okanogon Lane. There is no sign for Okanogan Way but it is the one-way street found near the bus stop just after Steven's Way turns east. Take Okanogon Lane until it takes a hard left--loading dock to lab is on the right. Head through the double doors behind the loading dock--lab is about 30' past the doors on the left.

Due to current construction of the Molecular Engineering Building at C7 and the top left portion of the red circle on the map below and to the right, entry to the PNSN has been complicated by the loss of the north entrance to Atmospheric Sci & Geophysics building.
