       "Earthquake--At five minutes to seven last evening  two  sharp  shocks of an earthquake visited this vicinity.  The  movement  was  from  southeast to northwest, the duration of both was about six seconds.  Buildings were shaken violently, windows, gas fixtures and  crockery  rattled,  and many people were scared but no one was hurt." |
