These seismograms show displacement ground motion as a function of time. A total
duration of 120 seconds is shown in each trace.
The two stations are GNW (Green Mountain -
Olympic Peninsula) and LTY (Liberty Mine, Central Cascades).
The recorded seismograms are solid lines and the theoretical seismograms are
dashed lines. The unmodeled long-period energy at GNW results from
low-velocity sediments in the Seattle basin, which are not included in the
theoretical model.
This solution is obtained using a depth of 8 km.
