Cross Section of Seismicity

The figure below shows a cross section of seismicity in Washington, from 125W to 120W for earthquakes of magnitude Mc => 2.0 occurring from 1980 through 1996. The cross section is centered at 47.75N and has a half width of 40 km. The Duvall mainshock (star) is an example of how focal depths become more shallow near the Cascade range.
